Scripture Reading: Mark 4:35–41
Introduction
A. There are times when others don’t care, but the Lord always does.
B. We can take comfort in knowing that the Lord is with us through all the storms of life and that He truly does care!
Discussion
I. Jesus showed concern during His life on earth.
A. He cared for the sick (Matthew 14:14; 20:34).
B. He cared for the grieving (Luke 7:11–15; John 11:33–44).
C. He cared for the poor (Luke 4:18).
D. He cared for the lost (Matthew 15:24; 18:11).
II. Jesus showed concern in His death.
A. He showed concern for the Jews (Matthew 23:37–38; Luke 23:28–31; 19:42–44).
B. He showed concern for His disciples (Luke 22:31–32; John 17:11; 14:18).
C. He showed concern for His mother (John 19:26–27).
III. Jesus shows His concern for us still.
A. He is our Advocate with the Father (1 John 2:1–2).
B. He continues to make intercession for us (Hebrews 7:24–25).
C. He is waiting for people to respond to His invitation (Matthew 11:28–30; 2 Peter 3:9).
Conclusion
A. No matter what we face, we can cast our cares on Him, seeing that He always cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
B. Jesus always cares for you. Do you care about Him?
