What It's All About (PM)

Scripture Reading:  Matthew 22:35–40

Introduction      

A.  Even if you don’t understand every detail in a document, it usually isn’t difficult to get the main idea of what it’s about.

B.  What about life? What is it all about?

Discussion

I.  What are some things that it isn’t about?

A.  It isn’t all about me (1 Corinthians 10:32–33; John 5:30).

B.  It isn’t all about possessions (Luke 12:15; Ecclesiastes 5:10–15).

C.  It isn’t all about pleasures (Hebrews 11:25–26; Ecclesiastes 2:10–11).

D.  It isn’t all about our personal achievements (Ecclesiastes 2:17–19; Galatians 1:13–14; Philippians 3:4–14).

E.  It isn’t all about the praises of men (Romans 2:28–29; John 12:43).

II.  So what is life all about?

A.  It is about loving and serving God (Matthew 22:37–40).

B.  It is about loving and serving others (Matthew 20:25–28).

C.  It is about seeking God’s favor (Galatians 1:9–10; Hebrews 11:5–6).

Conclusion

A.  What is your life all about?

B.  If your life has been centered around the wrong things, there is no better time to start changing it and making your life what God wants it to be than right now.
