No Place Like Home (AM)

Scripture Reading:  1 Corinthians 12:12–13

A.  Have you ever wanted more than anything to just go home?

B.  No matter who you are, there is a place for you in God’s house, and there is room for as many as you can bring with you.

I.  Home is the place where you can feel safe and secure.

A.  Home is the place where you can relax and be yourself (1 Samuel 22:2; Matthew 11:28–30).

C.  Home is a place where people grow together (2 Thessalonians 1:3; Ephesians 4:11–16).

D.  Home is the place where we do everything together (1 Corinthians 3:9; Acts 2:46; Romans 12:15–16; 2 Timothy 3:15).

II.  There is room for everyone in God’s house.

A.  Jesus told His disciples that there are many dwellings in His Father’s house (John 14:2).

B.  Jesus went to prepare a place for us in His Father’s house (John 14:2; 13:36; Matthew 25:34).

C.  Our Father’s house always has room for one more (cf. Luke 2:7).

A.  If you are looking for a place to call home, “the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’” (Revelation 22:17).

B.  Let’s all work together to make this family the growing, edifying, loving family that God intended it to be.
